What are the hours of the David Davis Mansion? When can I take a tour?

The David Davis Mansion is open Wednesday-Saturday from 9am-3:30pm. Tours are offered at ten minutes past the top of each hour at 9:10am 10:10am, 11:10am, 12:10pm, 1:10pm, 2:10pm and 3:10pm.

How much does the tour cost?

There is a suggested donation of $10 per adult and $5 per child. This donation helps to preserve the David Davis Mansion for future generations.

Where do I park? Where does the tour begin?

When you arrive at the David Davis Mansion, please drive through the main gates and park in the circle drive to the right of the mansion in the designated area. Once you have parked, walk back towards the gate. You will see the visitor’s center on the right, where your tour will begin. Parking at the David Davis Mansion is free.

How long does the tour last? What does it include?

Each tour begins with a 20-minute introductory video in our visitor’s center, followed by a docent-led tour inside the David Davis Mansion, which lasts approximately 45 minutes. At the end of the tour, you are given some time to shop in the Clover Lawn Gift Shop and view our temporary exhibit, if you wish. You are then invited to explore the barn and stable, as well as Sarah’s Garden.

Is the tour appropriate for children?

Our tours are recommended for adults and kids in 4^th grade and above, but we welcome children of all ages if they’re interested in the David Davis Mansion. We love families! Your guide will do their best to adjust the tour length and discussion to be more interesting for your children and keep their attention.

Yes. Please call (309) 828-1084 if you wish to visit with a group of this size during regular business hours.

I would like to bring a motor coach group, club, business, or organization for a special tour when the mansion is closed to the public. How do I do that?

We offer special tours to large groups during non-business hours for a fee of $10/person with a $100 minimum. Please call (309) 828-1084 to make a reservation.

I would like to rent the David Davis Mansion for a special event. How do I do that?
