Play Some Lawn & Table Games

Enjoy a round of croquet or badminton or try your hand at checkers, chess, tiddlywinks, pick-up sticks, the game of graces, and more. Did you know that all of these games were played in the 1800's?

Try an Art or Nature Activity

Learn about monarchs and make a butterfly themed craft, and then plant your own seed from Sarah's Garden into a pot you can decorate and take home.

Take a Walk Through Sarah's Garden

Enjoy all of the gorgeous flowers blooming in the garden! Feel free to take photos of your favorites or bring a sketchbook if you're inspired to draw. 

View a special art exhibit, featuring a few large-scale hand-painted images and accompanying text by local artist Ron Frazier from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, published in 1865.

Explore the David Davis Mansion

Take a self-led tour! A scavenger hunt will be available with a small prize for those who finish. Mansion volunteers will be available on each floor to answer questions and help as needed.

Be sure to stop into the kitchen for a fun exploration of vintage culinary tools. See if you can figure out what each item was used for. Do you have these tools in your kitchen today?

Enjoy Refreshments and Live Music on the Lawn

Relax on the front lawn under the shade of the mansion's trees while you have some cookies and lemonade and listen to live music played on the dulcimer. We hope the weather will be beautiful!
